Introducing a fashionably loud shoe for the weather geek on the street.
Nike plans to launch its ?Weatherman? series over the next six weeks reports the shoe blog ?Nice Kicks?
First up: the Nike Air Foamposite One ?Weatherman?, a high top, along with its low-rise sibling, the Nike Air Force 1 Low ? set to be released August 30.
These shoes feature a fairly realistic weather map visualization, replete with isobars (contours of equal pressure) and doppler radar imagery.
The blog Kicks on Fire calls the shoes ?odd to say the least? and shows them close-up.
A third shoe in the ?Weatherman Pack?, a thermal map serving as the design motif, is to be released on September 28.
The NikeBlog expects the trio of meteorologically-themed shoe to be a hit.
?Pick a favorite and then plan ahead; a quick sellout is likely for at least both Foam Ones, and very possibly all three shoes,? it writes.
The shoes are a follow-on to the Nike Weatherman KD IVs, inspired by NBA All-Star Kevin Durant.
